FINAL FRONT COVER

This is my final front cover, i chose the two main characters in my tv soap trailer because this creates genre recognition, with it being a boy and a girl, with him placing a hand on her shoulder this suggests some type of relationship that is going on between them. And with the message that is clearly stated with 'EXTRA tuition' this arises questions by the audience as to what is going on.
I also include along the bottom 'FREE DAZ DETERGENT INSIDE' this can intise the audience as the word 'FREE' is very attractive. And also 'DAZ' is a soap which fits in with the genre of my particular magazine.
The colours that are featured on my front cover are very obvious with the blue and yellow being the main two but then also as the cover stars have a pink halo around them which fits in with the book Jess is holding. I incude the date and title in two key areas where they are easily noted.

A2 media natalie wall final evaluation (final one)

Check out this SlideShare Presentation:

Above is my final evaluation, this includes questions that i had to think about when creating my soap trailer and evaluating this. I created my evaluation in microsoft powerpoint and then uploaded this to slideshare which i then posted into my blog. I had never used slideshare before therefore it was good for me to use it because it gave me experiance on uploading files and posting them to my blog. I found it quick and simple and it also presents my blog in an easy to understand way.

Final Billboard

Above is my final billboard, from my previous practices of creating billboards by getting feedback i learnt what i needed to include and not include in my final billboard. I learnt that audiences respond to particular images and text. Therefore i had to consider what kind of image would draw the audience in and what text would be suitable and fit in with brand recognition and conventions of a billboard. For example the expression on his face shows anger, and it tells a story. It relates to the 'Jess loves Mr M' from this we work out who 'MR M' is and how he feels about this situation. The phrase 'Secrets are never safe' fits in with how he is feeling and relates to the story. The Red text throughout the billboard links in with the brand identity as BBC one is red.

Location Shots

Location shots around the college where our filming for our TV soap soap trailer took place. We had to think about the different locations and where we wanted to film our soap trailer. The locations had to be suitable and had to fit in with what our trailer was about. As ours was set in 6th form we had to think of locations such as classrooms and corridors.

Planning Pictures For Billboard

For our billboard we had to consider what kind of photo we wanted and what would be a suitible billboard for institution and brand identity. For our billboard photo we wanted one of the two main charachters out of our soap. We wanted it to link in with what was going on in our soap, and for people to recognise or ask question what was about to happen.

FINAL SOAP TRAILER

This is my final soap trailer. After feedback i changed it and did what i thought would be better to improve it.
I uploaded it to youtube then posted it into my blog.

First Attempt FRONT COVER

This is my first attempt at my front cover. Looking back i now see what mistakes i made when creating this. By getting feedback it helped impove on my skills and also look more closely at the conventions of a soap magazine front cover. I can see what i did wrong, and what i needed to improve on and this was done in my final front cover.

IDEA ONE FOR BILLBOARD

This is my first attempt at creating a billboard. I had to make sure that all the fonts were the same and matched the BBC institution. I had to include a caption which would entise audiences in so they would be interested in what is going on in the soap from seeing this billboard.

Preliminary Soap Task

This is my final preliminary soap task which i had to upload to YouTube and then embed in my blog. I had never had any experiance of creating a soap trailer or filming a soap trailer. So doing this preliminary task helped me to experiance and understand what the conventions of a soap trailer was. It also helped me with camera angles, different shot types which meant i was contiuning to gain knowlege from what i had already learnt at AS.

A2 Soap Trailer - Before Feedback

Above is my Soap trailer draft, before i got feedback from my audience. There are still some factors that i need to change because of what my audience said about my trailer. I have taken this into account and have changed these factors for my final trailer. By getting feedback it helped me understand what audience wanted, so in a way it was a practice at what i thought was good but then also going furthur and improving on this.

Preliminary Task

For my prelimiary task i worked in a group to create a scene from Eastenders. It was one of the first times that i had used Adobe premier elements and it helped me become familiar with the programme and prepared me for my final product.
My preliminary task helped me to understand the different conventions of a soap trailer and helped me understand the effects and transitions.

Research of similar logos.

For my billboard and title cards on my soap trailer i had to keep the theme of BBC1 running throughout. This meant that i had to take into consideration, colours, fonts and themes. I did some research on what the BBC1 logo looked like and what i would need to create in order to create realism on my soap trailer.

Tv Magazine Analysis

I had to analyse other Tv Soap magazines before I created my own for my particular soap. I had to take note of the different conventions of the soaps magazine and apply this to my Tv Soap front cover. I looked at factors such as the colour scheme how it looked informal and how the pictures and titles were all over the place compared to other genres of magazines.

Waterloo Road

The relationship on this particular video of Waterloo road is the relationship which we want to create on our own TV Soap trailer. How there is a tense atmosphere and close ups of the characters faces to show emotion.
